Read a letter from Dr. Richard McLawhorn, president, South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging. Excerpt: There are countless Southern Baptist pastors in our State who have given their lives to serving Jesus Christ. Many are now in their senior years and do not have the financial resources to move to a clean, positive Christian environment as their health and as the health of their wives begins to decline. I have talked with a number of these Christian brothers. I have heard of many others (including pastors' widows) who are in this situation. And, God has convicted me that we Southern Baptists should do more to help pastors and their wives. So I have been working on ways South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging can do its part to accomplish this goal.
